Sara Evans to Perform at Taste of the NFL’s Super Bowl Event

Country superstar will entertain guests at The Party with a Purpose®

Taste of the NFL announces that multi-platinum recording artist Sara Evans will perform live at its 21st annual Super Bowl event that takes place on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Gleaner’s Food Bank of Indiana in Indianapolis. Limited tickets are still available to “The Party with a Purpose,®” one of the most popular events of Super Bowl week that pairs outstanding chefs from each NFL city with current and legendary NFL players to raise money in support of food banks throughout the United States.

“I’m very excited to be performing at the 2012 Taste of the NFL event,” said Sara Evans. “It’s a great evening for attendees and does so much to tackle the cause of hunger across America!”

Evans will entertain Taste of the NFL’s guests with hits such as 2011’s multi-week #1 smash “A Little Bit Stronger” from her new chart topping album, Stronger, as well as many of her past hits that have made her one of the most compelling female vocalists of her generation. Named the 2006 Academy of Country Music’s Female Vocalist of the Year, Evans has also been recognized as one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” and won the hearts of television viewers as the first-ever country star to compete on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. She has also co-authored three novels including the soon-to-be released Love Lifted Me.

Evans will hit the stage at approximately 10 p.m. following the strolling food and wine portion of the evening that includes more than 35 food stations featuring a chef, one from each NFL city, serving up his or her signature specialty along with a current or alumni NFL player. Each station also features a wine pairing from E & J Gallo.

Other highlights of this year’s celebration include special guest appearances by the newly-crowned Miss America (she will be begin her reign on Jan. 14), National Honorary Chairperson Tony Dungy, Culinary Host Ted Allen of the Food Network’s Chopped and TLC’s Cake Boss stars Mauro Castano and Joey Faugno. There is also a silent auction with unique sports memorabilia, exciting travel opportunities, culinary packages and more.
